GDPR

What is GDPR?

GDPR stands for the General Data Protection Regulation which replaced the Data Protection Act in May 2018. Its a piece of law that ensures organisations have policies and procedures in place to handle and manage personal data and information.

How does Jelly Images handle and store my personal information?

In most circumstances we do not store personal information about pupils we photograph. Each photograph we take if assigned an unique code to Jelly Images and does not relate to any personal information which could link back to a child. All images are edited and processed in house by Jelly Images and not shared with external companies at any point. The school or nursery is able to, by request only, receive a copy of digital pupil images which are recoded with the child's school SIM number. Once these images are transferred to the school and confirmed as received, they are deleted from our systems.

Customer details are retained on our secure ordering system and are only accessible to Jelly Images staff for auditing purposes.

How does this affect schools?

We are committed to working closely with all of our partner schools and assist them with GDPR compliance. If you are a school or nursery who would like to discuss this further please email Sam at info@jellyimages.co.uk

How does this affect parents?

If you are a parent and would like to know more about how your child's image is linked to their SIM number and those images used, please contact your child's school.
